The streaming service Peaco*ck offers you multiple options for subscription, which is handy so different types of users have a more appropriate selection. So what's the difference between Peaco*ck, Peaco*ck Premium and Peaco*ck Premium Plus?

Right off the bat, the most obvious difference between the three versions of Peaco*ck is price. The basic Peaco*ck tier is a free streaming service, while Peaco*ck Premium and Peaco*ck Premium Plus cost $4.99 and $9.99, respectively, for a monthly subscription.

Of course, a difference in price means a difference in service, so let’s look at what consumers can get for their money in each Peaco*ck tier.

1. Peaco*ck Free — the entry-level plan

The entry-level Peaco*ck plan is Peaco*ck Free, which is ad-supported; it's estimated that viewers see around five minutes of ads per hour.

In exchange for those few minutes every hour, viewers get access to 40,000 hours of TV shows and movies from the NBCUniversal library. This includes seasons of The Office, 30 Rock and Friday Night Lights for free.

Other great stuff that's included in the free Peaco*ck offer includes daily news, sports and pop culture-based programming, kids content and Telemundo Spanish-language shows.

To watch the free version of Peaco*ck, you just need to head over to the Peaco*ck website and sign up for an account.

2. Peaco*ck Premium — the plan with more stuff

As you'd expect from a Premium tier, there's way more content available to Peaco*ck Premium subscribers.

With both premium tiers — Peaco*ck Premium or Peaco*ck Premium Plus — you get access to everything on the free version of Peaco*ck plus a whole lot more.

This includes more TV shows and movies, Peaco*ck Originals, exclusive next-day viewing for current NBC shows, live sports and live events — including WWE and Sunday Night Football.

This tier will set you back $4.99 per month, or $49.99 for a whole year which basically amounts to two months' free.

3. Peaco*ck Premium Plus — the plan with no ads

The difference between Peaco*ck Premium and Peaco*ck Premium Plus is ads. Even though you pay for Peaco*ck Premium, what that gets you is all the extra shows and movies. You still get the commercials.

If you want to avoid ads altogether, you'll need to pay an extra $5 a month and pick Peaco*ck Premium Plus. It's ad-free, gets you all the extra stuff and you can download certain movies and shows to watch them offline on mobile devices.

A word of caution: you'll still have to deal with ads in a few select titles and also in live sports programming (due to streaming rights.)

Peaco*ck is available on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and Apple TV devices, as well as through games consoles, including PlayStation, and personal computers.

This tier costs $9.99 per month, or $99.99 for a whole year.
