The Gigablue UHD Quad 4K is GigaBlue's latest model, with a larger TFT color display, two internal card readers, a Gigabit Lan Ethernet connection and four USB High Speed ports. And UHDTV capable!
The GigaBlue UHD Quad 4K is a Twin HD TV receiver, based on Linux and with a hybrid function. By combining DVB-S/S2, DVB-C/C2, DVB-T/T2 and IPTV, it is possible to use the GigaBlue UHD Quad 4K multifunctionally.
Two built-in DVB-S2 (FBC) tuners are standard, allowing independent use of tuners. 1 additional tuner slot offers the possibility to expand the receiver with Plug & Play DVB-S2x, DVB-C/T2 or Dual DVB-C/T2 tuner.
The powerful processor offers viewers high resolution and very fast switching time (when zapping).
With the built-in network connection and/or an optional WiFi USB dongle, your receiver can connect directly to the Internet and (almost) all IPTV service providers.
With the powerful BCM7252S video processor it is possible to play video files regardless of where they are stored. Be it an external USB / e-SATA drive or via IPTV streams over the network. With the five-speed USB ports, you probably have more than enough options for expansion to external storage or other devices you want to connect.
Note: The 2x DVB-S2 FBC tuners are comparable to 8 "separate" DVB-S2 tuners when combined with a so-called Unicable LNB. When using normal LNBs the tuners function as a Dual tuner.
NOTE: This receiver does not (yet) work with the new CAM modules of Canal Digitaal / TV Vlaanderen, because this receiver does not support CI+. Working with separate smart cards is not a problem
Twin tuner receiver and 4x PiP
You can decide when and how many programs you want to record or watch in PiP (= Picture in Picture). It is possible to record up to 16 programs simultaneously and 4 programs in PiP.
Timeshift
Are you watching soccer or your favorite show and the phone rings, for example? With 1 press of the pause button the program is recorded and you can decide when you want to watch it back. You can watch scenes back up to 2 hours or skip them. Decide what you want to watch or not...
Sat>IP streaming or multiroom
Watch satellite TV wherever you want, via your internal home network. By streaming the satellite TV signal through your internal network, you can watch TV wherever you want. In any room of your home. And via the convenient App you can even stream the signal to your mobile devices (tablet, smartphone), so you can enjoy the summer in the garden and the beautiful weather and your favorite program.

UNIQUE! Extension to multiple (bedroom) rooms without coaxial cables!
Gigablue has launched a unique product with the new IP Box. Through your home network you connect the GigaBlue IP Box in the desired room (you can also use a power adapter). The IP Box connects to the Gigablue UHD Quad 4K (receiver) and can be used like the main receiver. Recorded material from the main receiver is also playable, but the IP Box can also play media from your external USB drive/stick.
Important advantage of the IP Box is that you only need one smart card, the IP Box is compact and does not require a coax connection and can operate completely independently.
